Originally conceived as the theatrical workshop for the Mikhailovsky Theatre now known as Mussorgsky (formerly Maly) Theater it became privately owned after the fall of communism in the former Soviet Union. Today, Vozrozhdenie’s list of clients is global and includes the Mariinsky (formerly Kirov) and Bolshoi Theatres, New York City Ballet, New National Theatre in Tokyo, Mussorgsky Opera and Ballet Theater, Teatro Lirico di Calgiari in Italy, Eifman Modern Ballet Theater, Novaya Opera, Bolshoi Drama Theater, the Music-Hall in St. Petersburg, Ballet Internationale, Cincinnati Ballet, Sacramento Ballet and others.
